We have an exciting opportunity, we are advertising for a Child Health Matron to join our team. We are looking to recruit to a 37.5 hour post mainly working Monday - Friday. Please note that there is an on-call requirement for this role.

The maternitytransformation programme sets out the 10 work streams that inform quality initiative andtransformation integral to the matron role but not limited to the transformation programme.The work streams are pivotal to collaborative working and building inter professional relationships within maternity and neonatal services.

Job responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Divisional Management Team participate in the production of the Divisions Annual Business Plan.
- To contribute to the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of theDivisions strategic and operational plan concerning, staff competency, staffobjectives and targets, time plans, quality improvement.
- Monitor service delivery and patient outcomes, identifying new initiatives andinvestigating any issues arising within the clinical area, formulating, and adjustingplans to ensure that care is delivered in the appropriate care setting.
- Co-ordinate and assess the operational planning of the service to enable the Trustsand the Divisional objectives to be met.
- First line management of Band 7 Nursing staff including ward mangers, team leaders,
- Specialist nurses and Shift co-ordinators.
- Collaborate with all staff to maintain a safe, clean working environment, recognisingchanging priorities and risks, and implementing corrective actions within own limitsand informing the relevant people.
- Lead the development of the work stream project plans and documents inaccordance with successful programme methodologies.
- Be operationally responsible for leading the design and implementation of amonitoring framework of activities and outcomes as well as ongoingmanagement of cross programme interdependencies, work stream resourcesand work stream level risks and issues.
- Hold others to account, in line with agreed milestone plans and deliverytargets, identifying risks and initial remedial actions.
- Provide clinical leadership and develop standards to promote high qualitypractice.
