We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Paediatric Nurse to join our team! Our Child and Adolescent Unit has undergone a major refurbishment programme which has made us fit for the future and ready to take on the challenge of nursing children and young people with a range of medical, surgical, oncology and mental health conditions.
We have now added to our team and have a dedicated Vulnerable CYP wellbeing specialist Nurse, an Infant Feeding Practitioner and an Education and Development Nurse as well as an Allergy Nurse Specialist and two Professional Nurse Advocates who can offer Restorative Clinical Supervision and who can advocate for quality improvement.
Developing staff is important to us, we can offer places on High Dependency Course, APLS, and Clinical Assessment modules.
Our Education and Development Lead also provides a bespoke training program for Newly Qualified Nurses, Experienced Nurses and Nurses who work in the HDU.

Main duties of the job
An experienced health care professional competent in all aspects of care planning, who is able to carry out a wide range of clinical skills, including area(s) of particular clinical expertise and advice within the team e.g. infection control, by working collaboratively and cooperatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. The post holder will also take an active part in the leadership, education, development and supervision of theteam.

Perform comprehensive assessment of patient nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate care according to changing health care needs, including providing clinical expertise, advice and guidance in a particular area of clinical practice to improve the overall care provided by the team2. Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team/agencies to ensure that patient needs are met3. Involve patients, relatives/carers in the delivery of care, providing reassurance and support to assist their understanding and co-operation4.
