This post is the Lead Nurse role for the ECT department based at Wotton Lawn Hospital, this department covers ECT treatment for patients in Wotton Lawn Hospital and Charlton Lane Hospital as well as offering outpatient treatment to patients in the community

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential. For qualifying staff the Trust has a Lease Car Scheme in place and also offers a popular Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme with our partner Tusker.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder with have strategic and operational responsibility for the ECT department at Wotton Lawn Hospital
- Clinical leadership to ensure high standards of care and treatment whilst maintaining the departments ECTAS Accreditation
- To Supervise mentor and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students (Nursing and Non-nursing)
- To lead the nursing team of the unit and to deliver and review a high level of care which reflects the ECTAS level 1 status of the department.
- Organise ECT Treatment at GRH for A.S.A. 3 level service users.
- To have a visible presence and be available to patients, carers and staff
- To attend NALECT meetings
