We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and driven sister/charge nurse with potential to excel in their clinical ability and development of their leadership skills.
The sister / charge nurse will have day to day responsibility within the clinical area, supporting staff and reporting to the senior sister / charge nurse, Your responsibilities include small team management, ensure that you and your team deliver quality, safe care, promoting positive staff and patient experience.
As a sister /charge nurse you will portray as a professional role model, keen to drive professional standards, promoting staff development, encourage and empower your nursing team to achieve their maximum potential.
We have substantive permanent opportunities in the following specialties:
Frailty and Gen Med - Ward B7
The successful candidates will have proven experience at staff nurse level. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver of high quality, effective and safe patient care and team support

Main duties of the job
As a sister/ charge nurse you will be responsible for supporting the senior sister/ charge nurse deliver on their responsibilities, This will involve the shift by shift running of the ward and appropriate contribution to staff & service planning.
The post holder will manage the shift and promote safe care, positive patient experience and early discharge planning, you will support with stock and budget control, ensure safe staffing levels are maintained, sickness management, PDR reviews and roster management all within your scope.
Coordinate staff and clinical activity within the ward/department, playing a key role within the multi-disciplinary team.
Take an active role for ward/department change management, developing and maintaining strong communication links with peers and ward manager ensuring that all staff are effectively and appropriately briefed
