Are you a dietitian with broad range of clinical experience and with experience or an interest in working within Haematology? A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent 0.6 W.T.E. (22.5hours/ week) Specialist Haematology Dietitian at the City campus- Nottingham, with a focus on supporting the implementation of a new patient pathway for CAR-T therapy within the current Haematology Dietetic service. The post will cover both inpatient and outpatient caseloads within Haematology (including lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma, bone marrow transplant & CAR-T therapy). You will be well supported by a Highly Specialist Lead Haematology Dietitian and established team of Specialist Haematology Dietitians.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide clinical support within Haematologyas part of a shared dietetic caseload of inpatient and outpatients in a variety of clinical areas. The successful candidate will support complex nutritional interventions, as well as nutrition support and enteral feeding, so experience in these areas would be beneficial.

We actively encourage service improvement and audit and are committed to continuing professional development for all our staff (which includes attending recognised training courses and involvement in service development).

You'll need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload and that of other members of staff within a supportive team. Experience of nutritional support and evidence of a varied clinical experience is essential.

This role is linked to the CAR-T treatment pathway, alongside the wider Haematology Dietetic team you will be involved in the implementation of this new patient pathway within the Haematology Dietetic service, training Dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team regarding CAR-T therapy and the Dietetic considerations within this patient group. The dietitian is a core member of the multi-disciplinary team and will work collaboratively with consultants and specialist nurses to deliver high quality nutritional care to patients.
