Reporting into the Head of Financial Services, the post holder is responsible for the day to day operation of financial accounts and treasury functions. They play a key role in the annual production of the statutory accounts as lead a small team with an important role.
The postholder will need to have technical accounting experience and keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, advising others on the impact of any changes. They will be adept at managing both their own and their team's priorities, ensuring good financial governance and keeping up to date policies and procedures relating to Treasury.
They will also be responsible for continuous development and improvement across the team and services provided. They will also need to support staff with hybrid working and be flexible in their approach whilst ensuring high levels of customer service
Main duties of the job
Responsible for key information in the production and submission of the Trust's accounts, ensuring that statutory guidelines, accounting standards and timescales are fully met. Provision of regular and ad-hoc financial accounts information to both external and internal groups.
Reconciliation of al balance sheet codes to ensure the Trust's financial position is accurately reflected and to control and maintain the chart of accounts in respect of the balance sheet.
To provide technical accounting advice to members of Trust staff in relation to issues affecting the Trust, and to keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and the impact they may have.
