Greater Manchester Mental Health Service are recruiting Band 6 mental health practitioners at our Central Manchester Site
We are looking for 'can do', motivated Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds including CAMHs to join us.
You will be actively supported to develop as a mental health professional, building on your existing experience and knowledge. Main duties of the job
The HBT operates 24/7 to provide responsive mental health care in the community setting, delivered by experienced and established multidisciplinary teams. We aim to provide an alternate to hospital admission and care for service users in the least restrictive way. As a Trust, we are committed to our services delivering models that are clinically led, operationally partnered and academically informed.
The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hours a week including weekends, bank holidays and nights. This service operates over 24 hours, 7 days a week, and so there will be times when the post holder will need to work out of hours to facilitate line management and support practitioners. There is an expectation that the post holder will participate in out-of-hours bronze on call - this is subject to approval.
You will be a senior team member providing clinical leadership, leading within our MDT meetings, and on clinical decision making within the service. You will support junior staff through supervision and service development.
Key duties willinclude:
- Overseeing theclinical management for the patients, reviewing the practice of other staff.
- To develop and maintainrelationships and pathways with other services.
- Act as a Gatekeeper, reviewing referrals for acute care.
- To participate in the local on call manager rota for GMMH
- Line management and clinical supervision of staff members.
- Providing training in house and as directed to other services within the directorate.
