Registered Nurse - Ward C7 Frailty/ FRAME We are looking for dynamic, committed, compassionate and highly enthusiastic staff nurses to join our hardworking team. Ward C7 at the University Hospital of Wales care for patients who require complex treatment for acute & chronic medical conditions. We work in an effect multi-disciplinary team providing holistic patient-centered care to acute medical patients and their families. We pride ourselves in providing a high standard of care and specialise in frailty & rehabilitation. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team you will care for patients along every stage, developing and consolidating both specialist and core nursing skills. You will develop a close working relationship with other specialist staff including infection control, palliative care & rehab liaison nurses. You will be supported in your development through study days and training within the ward environment.
Main duties of the job
As a staff nurse within Ward C7 at the University Hospital of Wales, your main duties will be - To be responsible for the assessment of care needs Develop, implement and evaluate care plans To be responsible for own group of patients To advocate on behalf of patients to ensure the patient's voice is heard The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team Be a role model to junior staff Become a competent student supervisor & assessor Develop & refresh mandatory & clinical skills The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
