We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced General Surgical Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our Surgical Division as a Consultant ACP. We are looking for someone with a real passion and drive to lead the development of patient centred, evidence based, cost -effective care and leading on our surgical patients journey.
Main duties of the job
As a Consultant ACP, you will have a clinical caseload (to be discussed), this may include ward rounds and/or outpatient clinic. The successful candidate will contribute into the wider multi-professional MDT that may include clinical governance, multi-professional education, audit and research. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the trainee/trained surgical ACP team working closely with consultant ACP at Lincoln and the Trust Lead ACP.
Extensive surgical experience is required and the ability to demonstrate robust experience within the 4 pillars of advanced practice. We are willing to look at developing a candidate if they may lack development within a pillar. We work closely with the university of Lincoln and for the right candidate, can offer doctoral development and clinical academic positions that could include Readerships and Professorships.

- Registered Professional
- Qualified in Advanced Practice, including qualifications in non-medical prescribing (V300) and physical assessment,
- Specialist accreditation or equivalent clinical experience. Equivalent experience to formal accreditation must include evidence of working as a senior decision maker
- Formal teaching and mentorship qualification
- Masters degree in relevant area of study
- Advance Life Support Qualification
