Main duties of the job
You will be part of a friendly and dynamic Learning Disability Nursing Team and can expect to utilise your knowledge, skills and experience by promoting excellent quality care through evidence-based practice and value-based approaches to People with a Learning Disability within the London Borough of Barnet.
The post-holder will work as part of a multi-displinary team to provide specialist Nursing support to individuals with Mental Health issues, Challenging Behaviour and Complex Physical Health needs.We pride ourselves in driving change and improving the lives of people with a Learning Disability, if you do too, come and join us!

- Qualified Learning Disability Nurse or Adult Nurse with an interest and experience of working with people with a learning disability
Desirable
- Dual qualification - ie Learning Disability and Adult Nursing/mental health
- Post qualification training relevant to Physical Health care and people with a Learning Disability
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with people with a learning disability, complex physical health needs and challenging behaviour
- Experience of working with a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of co-ordinating care for people on CPA
- Experience of working with a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working with social care
- Post qualification experience in learning disabilities nursing in a community environment
