CLINCAL RESEARCH FELLOW - Renal & Melanoma Unit

Main duties of the job

This is a one year fixed term contract for the post of Clinical Research Doctor within the Renal and Melanoma-oncology Unit. The post will involve a mixture of clinical and translational renal and melanoma-oncology research, focussed around the management of these disease areas. There are a number of ongoing clinical research projects across and Doctors have a strong track record of successfully completing their projects, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting their work and national and international meetings.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• Eligible for full GMC registration.
• MRCP or equivalent

Experience

Essential

• Management of cancer patients including radiotherapy and chemotherapy
• Training at specialist registrar level.

Desirable

• Postgraduate teaching.

Skills, abilities and knowledge

Essential

• Ability and willingness to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

Desirable

• Previous experience of clinical trials and management of patients on clinical trials

Personal qualities

Essential

• Commitment to participate actively in clinical research and collaborate in translational research.

Other

Essential

• Experience and interest in Renal and Melanoma oncology.
