Blandford and Sherborne Adult Community Mental Health Teams are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Mental Health Nurse Prescriber to join their teams. We are looking for exceptional individuals with the right attitude, skills and knowledge who share our passion to deliver the best quality care experience for the people that we serve.

The teams in Blandford and Sherborne are experienced multidisciplinary teams who collaborate very well together, and there is an ethos of support for one another in the teams.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an experienced clinical nurse and registered Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) who acts within their own professional boundaries. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills as well as non-medical prescribing for people accessing support from the teams.

Job description Job responsibilities

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week, 22.5 hours will be worked in theBlandford CMHT and 15 hours in the Sherborne CMHT.There are opportunities to explore and support flexible and remote working.

The Nurse Prescriber will support the teams by taking responsibility for completing comprehensive specialist holistic assessments where needs are highly complex. This will involve planning, implementing and evaluating the care delivery according to changing healthcare needs.
