An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Leader (Band 7) in the forensic directorate.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with good clinical skills, who can work closely with other disciplines to deliver high-quality care to patients. The role will enable you the opportunity to develop on your managerial and leadership skills.

We are a Trauma Informed Service, looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual with good clinical skills. You will lead the delivery of high-quality care to patients with a good nursing therapeutic skill.

The post holder should have adequate skills to support the multidisciplinary team in using evidenced based approaches such as Trauma Informed Care, recovery star, traffic light system, Broset, safety huddles and other evidence-based approaches in the prediction of violence and aggression.

Most importantly, you will be supported to ensure that care is delivered in a proactive working environment and that a positive patient experience is achieved.

The Forensic directorate supports regular rotation of staff to other wards to acquire new skills, avoid burnouts, and gain the full benefits and experience from working across the various pathways. The post holder may hence be rotated to another ward to meet service needs when required.

Forensic Inpatient service of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is Part of the South London Partnership (SLP). You will be joining a supportive senior nursing team responsible for the 24-hour operational management of the service and be charged with the clinical and managerial leadership of the ward.   • Being an effective clinical leader and role model, with good delegation and supervisory abilities.
  • Identifying clinical need, prioritising and deploying resources, within budgetary parameters.
  • Being an effective communicator, observer & listener.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensuring that all organisational policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to as well as contributing to the development of local, trust, specialist and National policies.
  • Ensuring good teamwork and working relationships with patients, carers, relatives, other professionals and the public.
  • Ensuring that clinical supervision is used to reflect upon and modify own and others practice.
  • Ensuring that own practice and that of junior staff remains within legal, ethical and professional parameters and is open to scrutiny from peers.
  • Must hold a current, valid first level registration with the Nurses & Midwives Council or equivalent professional body for their discipline.
  • Is working towards attaining the European Computer Driving License qualification, (Module 2)
