The Role
As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation of the CEO's office, providing strategic support, and driving key initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Support: Assisting the CEO in day-to-day operations and long-term planning, ensuring the delivery of the Trust's vision and strategic goals.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with the Executive Leadership Team, Non-Executive Directors, and external stakeholders to navigate complex challenges and drive organisational success.
- Project Management: Steering and coordinating high-impact projects that align with the Trust's priorities, ensuring successful execution and alignment with local and national healthcare initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as a key liaison for the CEO, managing communications and relationships across the wider NHS system, and ensuring consistent, high-quality interaction with all stakeholders.

- Masters level qualification or equivalent level of knowledge gained through either formal training and accreditation or acquisition of additional theoretical or conceptual knowledge
- Demonstrable experience of building, maintaining and utilising successful partnerships across a range of stakeholders
- Understanding of the strategic context of the NHS and wider health and social care environment
- Experience of delivery as SRO on large programs of work
- Experience of mobilising resources effectively to support complex organisation through significant change
- Evidence of successfully handling sensitive situations efficiently and confidentially
- Ability to inspire and motivate clinical, operational and support staff
- Experience in preparation of management and board level reports
- Extensive experience of working at a senior level in a large and complex organisation
