An opportunity has arisen for experienced Band 7 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists to join the musculoskeletal service at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. You will be working alongside a team of advanced physiotherapy practitioners and advanced musculoskeletal therapists. CLCH is one of the largest community trusts. There is opportunity to access a large variety of in house development programmes.
The MSK service is led by a Consultant Physiotherapist and includes injection therapy, access to imaging, pelvic health, orthopaedic clinical assessment and various evidence based rehabilitation programs.
This post provides the opportunity to develop leadership skills through project work within the upper limb/lower limb and spinal pathway's, alongside audit involvement.
Further opportunities involve the chance to develop your triage skills. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of skilled senior clinicians between sites within CLCH and be involved in different treatment/management pathways.
Main duties of the job
Be professional and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care. Ensure a consistently high level of clinical care for the patients under your management and support your peers to do likewise.
Provide an equal and equitable service for all patients, including the harder to reach population groups.
Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients, using investigative and analytical skills. Be aware of your professional limitations, seeking support as necessary through supervision, discussion with peers/more senior colleagues and team case discussions.
Use a variety of assessment and treatment techniques appropriate to the patient, in accordance with evidence based practice, national guidelines and trust and departmental policy (including manual handling and confidentiality).
Demonstrate compassion, empathy and sensitivity whilst providing an appropriate level of care for patients with acute and chronic, complex presentations (which may include victims of torture, mental health patients, etc.)
