This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of tobacco treatment, service improvement and engagement across York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals. The post holder will be the Operational Lead for the Tobacco Dependency Team and responsible for managing all members of the Trust's Tobacco Dependency Advisory Team. The post holder will play a key role in the Trust's ambitions to improve health outcomes for our patients and reduce health inequalities in our local communities through the services we provide.

Main duties of the job
- Manage the Tobacco Dependency Team to develop and provide smoking cessation intervention, advice on treatment, temporary abstinence, behavioural support for NHS patients and NHS clients in a variety of settings.
- Lead the delivery of the Trust-wide Tobacco Dependency Treatment Service implementation plan.
- Support data analysis and interpretation with the Tobacco Dependency Advisory Team to ensure that the service reports according to local and national guidelines and operating procedures.
- Support the development of the service by sharing ideas, garner service user feedback, reviewing associated processes and updating patient information resources and communications.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals within Trust and community services (including GP & pharmacies) to facilitate access to stop smoking pharmacotherapy.
- Have responsibility for ensuring that partner agencies are aware of all procedures and referral processes.
