An excellent opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse RGN to come and work in HMP YOI Thorn Cross. This could be the perfect change that you need.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has an interest in working in a challenging but very supportive environment. You will need strong leadership skills, be able to make decisions and have sound communication skills. You would be working as part of the MDT to care for patients who are in a secure environment.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will assist in the overall delivery of care to patients within the Primary Care department of HMP YOI Thorn Cross. You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The post holder will at all times comply with the NMC Code of Conduct, relevant legislation policies and procedures.
Healthcare services operate 7 days a week, and the successful applicants would need to be flexible in their approach to meeting the demands of the service

Demonstrate an awareness of Trust and Prison policies, procedures and protocols.
Demonstrate efficient use of resources
Utilize management skills to take charge of the unit/team as required
Participate in effective multi-disciplinary teamwork, including prison staff
Report immediately any complaints, incidents and other untoward occurrences
Participate in the clinical review of major incidents as appropriate.
