This is an exciting role that holds responsibility for the delivery of our Resuscitation, simulation and Clinical skills services. The post holder is responsible for the strategic planning and the delivery of these services. Working along side the Lead Nurse for Practice Education and CPPD you will be leading all our nursing and midwifery educational delivery.
Main duties of the job
Accountable for direct delivery of resuscitation, simulation, clinical skills and blood transfusion services. Lead on Resuscitation, simulation, clinical skills and blood transfusion services to ensure that local and National standards are achieved cross site.o Provide expert nurse leadership, advice and clinical consultancy to nurses and multidisciplinary teams in the area of Resuscitation practice, simulation education, clinical skills and blood transfusion.o Named responsible officer for resuscitation. To ensure the provision of resuscitation training within the Trust to meet national and local standardso Provide strategic advice to ensure patients receive appropriate evidence based resuscitation interventions and determine pathways of care from a range of options.o Set strategy to ensure National and local standards for practice and operational response in resuscitation, clinical skills and blood transfusion are implemented, ensuring that there are quality measures in place to provide assuranceo Named responsible officer for simulation education in the Trust. To ensure that the provision of simulation provided in the Trust adheres to ASPiH standards and ensure that learning outcomes are responsive to support both Trust priorities and Trust quality prioritieso Named responsible officer for clinical skill provision in the Trust, ensuring that practice reflects both National and Local standards

- Registered Nurse, ODP or Paramedic
- Educated to degree level or relevant experience
- Evidence of masters level of relevant experience
- Registered teaching qualification e.g. PCGE or equivalent
- Simulation Instructor
Desirable
- Instructor in advanced resuscitation course (ALS EPALS APLS NLS) and GIC course director
- Valid Advanced Life support instructor status (Adult and Paediatric)
Experience
Essential
- Experience of concurrently managing a wide variety of projects
- Track record of involving and motivating staff to improve performance
- Experience of successfully identifying, planning, implementing and evaluating a range of services according to the needs of the people it serves
- Extensive experience in leading a team and service management including setting strategy to ensure that teaching programmes support Trust meeting Trust quality priorities and overall organisation priorities
