Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high quality care to our patients.
This role is vital to ensuring services are safe, effective, compliant and continually improving. Working alongside colleagues in radiology and the division you will be responsible for ensuring robust governance processes are in place using strong communication, analytical and organisation skills.
There will be the opportunity to work closely with the multi professional clinical and admin teams in radiology, the wider division and trust leading on the governance agenda ensuring systems and processes are in place to support the key pillars of governance.
An understanding of IRMER and healthcare governance is essential as is an understanding of the clinical specialties and modalities within radiology.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FORWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering high quality care for our patients. You will be a team player, working alongside members of the radiology management team with the ability to prioritise the workload on a daily basis with strong communication and organisational skills. Attention to detail is important and the ability to amend and analyse documentation to ensure full compliance with the governance agenda. The ability to use word, excel and PowerPoint are critical as is the ability to set up electronic processes where possible
WHAT YOULL DOProvide governance advice and support to colleagues.Be the first point of contact for governance related matters within radiology.Ensure systems and structures are in place to demonstrate compliance and assurance of required standardsEnsure effective and responsive administration in the care group governance agenda.Provide regular reports on governance activity to the care group and division.Identify, communicate, and escalate themes to ensure appropriate action is taken in response to patient safety events and patient feedback and that learning from incidents is recorded and cascaded as appropriateMonitor action plans.Maintain the care groups risk register, risk log and CAFTo initiate investigations of complaints, liaising with appropriate team members and preparing written documentation including action plans.
