An exciting opportunity have arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the busy, innovative Medicine Division as Service Delivery Manager at Whipps Cross. The Service Delivery Manager is an important post within the Division, and we are looking to recruiting a hardworking and committed colleague who is keen to work with the wider team to support and develop our services.

The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise their workload, excellent communication skills, experience in pathway management, including RTT validation.

You will be responsible for establishing robust administration systems as well as supporting the clinical teams to develop the service in accordance to the clinical strategy. The successful candidate will provide all round support for the Division.

You will be working closely with the Medical & Nursing teams, Clinical Leads, Service Manager, Associate General Manager, Senior Nurses, and Heads of Service in order to ensure that we continue to deliver high quality, value for money patient care and experience.

Main duties of the job

The Delivery Manager is responsible to the Service Manager for the overall performance of those services within the remit of the role. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls, and resource constraints.

To manage the Key performance targets in your area, and demonstrate continuous improvement in patient experience with reference to a balanced demand and capacity plan

To support the clinical teams, develop service in accordance to their clinical strategy. This will include Clinical Directors, Consultants, Matrons and Head of Nursing.

To ensure that there are clear and transparent measure of success (KPI's) for your service/s and these are delivered at the required level.

You will support the CAG's implementation of service improvement as appropriate and general development of services. You will play a key part in supporting change and help clinical teams plan and review care pathways.

You will look after and nurture the staff that you manage to help them to develop their knowledge and skills and perform to a pre-determined level.

Communication is a key priority, you are responsible for establishing and maintaining robust systems to cascade information, receive feedback and take appropriate action where necessary.
