Physiotherapist - Band 6
Full time / part time hours available, permanent role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy team within the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust LD&A directorate.
You would be providing physiotherapy to the Adult Learning Disability population in North Warwickshire. You will join a friendly and supportive team of physiotherapists based within 4 multidisciplinary health care teams.
Experience of working with adults with a Learning Disability is desirable but not essential. You will require a passion to work with and improve the lives of adults with a learning disability and demonstrate willingness to learn. You will provide a quality service to a varied caseload of patients, which may include: MSK, elderly & dementia, orthopedics, complex disabilities, multiple pathologies, neurodevelopmental conditions, life-limiting conditions, respiratory conditions and challenging behaviour.

The post holder will provide physiotherapy support to junior staff across the CLDTs and be pro-active with service development and supporting physiotherapy students. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in trust service development and provision.
You will work within a variety of settings, including colleges and day centres, residential and nursing homes, respite, family homes and leisure facilities. This role will require excellent awareness of scope of practice and safe autonomous lone working.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Unrestricted registration with Health Professions Council (HPC)
- Demonstrates competence working with clients who have learning disabilities, complex needs, communication issues and/or challenging behaviour
- Demonstrates ability to liaise and work collaboratively with other agencies and professions.
- Substantial post graduate experience within adult learning disabilities.
- Experience of supervising and managing junior members of staff and physiotherapy students
- Driver with access to independent means of transport
