We are recruiting to the post of Clinical Vocational Specialist to clients of the Vocational Recovery Services - part of the newly configured Mental Health Integrated Network Teams of West London Mental Health Trust. Working as an integral member of the VRS and MINT teams you will provide a range of employment-related services and supports to people with mental health conditions.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Vocational Specialist, you will provide support along the service pathways and provide specialist assessments, advice, coaching and counselling and advocacy to clients with mental health conditions that wish to retain employment/pursue vocational activity relating to employment.

You will also work to identify and jointly remove any clinical barriers that inhibit service users from engaging in employment in the wider jobs market.

As a Band 6 you will have additional supervisory and service development responsibilities as indicated in the Job Description

The Vocational Recovery Services of West London NHS operates across 3 pathways: Job Retention, Work Experience and IPS.

We are embedded in our local MINT Teams across a number of sites and work closely with our IPS colleagues and members of the MDT.

This post will suit someone who is confident to liaise with employers, mental health professionals, employment and training specialists, trade union officials, college tutors and other agencies to ensure the employment/vocational goals and needs of the client are met.

Youll need to be assertive and adaptable, with a positive attitude about employment for all and excellent networking and interpersonal skills. You will have the opportunity to work independently as well as being part of a supportive team
