Are you a strategic financial leader with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale financial challenges? King's College Hospital is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and Trust Board. As a key member of our leadership, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial health and sustainability of our institution, which is currently facing a significant financial deficit. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual who can develop and implement robust financial strategies, optimise resource allocation, and drive operational efficiency across the Trust. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that we continue to deliver world-class patient care while navigating financial complexities.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in senior financial roles, ideally within the NHS or a similarly complex healthcare environment. You will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. As CFO, you will lead a dedicated finance team, oversee budgeting and forecasting, manage financial risks, and work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to drive sustainable financial improvement.
