There are opportunities for an experienced qualified nurse to become a Charge Nurse at Park House which is an Adult Inpatient Hospital based in North Manchester, located here are 2 female acute wards, 4 male acute wards and 1 male 10 bedded PICU, there are listed below.
Poplar - 20 bedded female acute ward
Elm - 20 bedded female acute ward
Laurel - 23 bedded Male acute ward
Mulberry - 20 bedded male acute ward
Redwood - 20 bedded male acute ward
Safire - 9 bedded male acute ward
Juniper - 10 bedded male PICU ( Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit )
This unit in the midst of a significant Quality Improvement programme focussing on Violence & Aggression, Trauma Informed Care and Staff Wellbeing with the expectation that we will become a site of clinical excellence as well as holding the values of the Trust in support to staff.
The developments within the scope of this role are extraordinary baring in mind that we are currently working together on shaping the environment as well as care delivery within the new North View building. The QI projects above coupled with staff development programmes mean that we are at a point of real growth and progress. These are exciting times to be in North Manchester!

Main duties of the job
To assist the Ward Manager in providing leadership and operational management to the ward, ensuring the provision of quality nursing care to all service users
The post holder will assess, plan and implement care, and provide specialist nursing advice, and carry out nursing procedures
They will provide clinical and managerial leadership to junior staff, and provide supervision to junior staff and students
To support the Ward Manager in the implementation and sustainment of quality improvement projects on the ward
To act as a positive role model to the team, demonstrating the core values of Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust
To provide 24 hour senior nurse input to the unit as part of the bleep holder responsibilities and liaise with other agencies to support this duty
