The Specialist Adult Bladder & Bowel Care Service for Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust has an opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the team. The Service is a nurse-led team providing care to a wide range of patients. You will gain experience in promoting continence and treating and managing incontinence.
The applicant would be required to work autonomously in clinics throughout East & North Herts and visit patients in their own homes. This role would be ideal for a nurse with an interest or specialism in Gynaecology, Urology, Spinal Injury and Neurogenic Conditions.
The successful applicant will be:
o motivatedo able to demonstrate a keen interest in bladder and bowel careo have excellent communication skillso organised and able to work on your own initiative.o work within a service that covers East and North Hertfordshireo liaise and work with other health professionals and agencieso willing to participate in training and education for patients, carers and staffo IT literateo hold a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
Main duties of the job
You will be joining a team of nurses who work within the Adult Bladder and Bowel Care Service . We offer a supportive and friendly working environment and there are opportunities to develop your clinical skills within this specialty whilst under the guidance of a well-established team and with the support of the Training and Development Department.You will be required to work 5 x 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 08.30-16.30 weekdays only.
