Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cardiac Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) to support our team of committed cardiac surgical care practitioners. With a structured and respected career pathway the cardiac SCP team have challenged the boundaries of the conventional theatre care practitioner role safely introducing innovations and practice outside the theatre setting which benefit patient continuity and quality of care.
The team are expert practitioners within the field of cardiac surgery and act as advisors for all members of the multidisciplinary team, offering support to both theatre nurses and junior doctors.
We are looking to recruit an experienced SCP to lead this team, someone who is able to think strategically and initiate service development. You will have proven leadership skills and experience in delivering service improvement and trainee supervision and teaching.
