We are looking to recruit a band 8C, Assistant Director of Infrastructure & Architecture).

The role would be part of the Digital Infrastructure and Technical Support Team, supporting clinical and non-clinical users throughout the trust in their use of all IDT services and where appropriate offering advice and support to the user.

Also over seeing the following functions within IDT Systems/networks/telephony/security and BAU support team (Infrastructure Engineers, supporting storage, data centres, remote technology etc) and managing and triaging tickets for the team.

• Educated to Masters / Degree level or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
• Prince Foundation

• ITIL Qualified

• Leadership, vision, strategic thinking and planning with highly developed political skills
• Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
• Negotiations at senior level
• Understanding of project management tools and techniques
• Ability to provide informative reporting on finances and impact to management

Experience

Essential

• Significant experience of complex SLA
• 5+ years equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in IT operations preferably in NHS
• Extensive experience in managing at a senior level, IDT infrastructure technical resources and operations in a large scale IT environments
• Experience of managing and prioritising large budget/s
• Experience of creating new team/s and motivating and inspiring staff to work together to achieve a common objective
