We have 1 endoscopy procedure suite with 5 recovery bays and an endoscopy decontamination unit. Endoscopy decontamination service is providing service cross site with two Wassenburg machine running service 24/7. We are performing endoscopic therapeutic intervention and surveillance procedures covering the North West London and regional referrals including private patient. We are currently recruiting due to expansion of service and if you are an experience motivated endoscopy practitioner we would like to invite you to join our unique diverse team. The successful candidate will play a central role in working as part of a motivated and committed senior endoscopy practitioner at the RMH Chelsea This will involve working with a wide range of complex cases.
You will have clinical experience in endoscopy and pre-assessment, and with the relevant experience in the care of patient for endoscopy intervention. We strive for excellence in all that we do and value the importance of reflection, critical thinking and promote professional development.

To work as a member of the endoscopy team. To be responsible for the care of patients attending the Endoscopy Suite from pre-assessment through to discharge. The post holder is expected to deliver a high standard of individualised patient care, and to be will required to develop competence in the management of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures the use of endoscopy equipment and accessories, including decontamination.

- Using the information obtained from nursing history assessments and from subsequent observations, to identify the patient's individual nursing problems and needs, and to plan and implement care.
- To evaluate the nursing care that has been given, and alert the Ward/Departmental Sister/Charge Nurse of the patient's changing health care needs.
- To facilitate the patient and their family/carers participating in the planning of care. To assist with teaching in preparation for investigations and treatment.
- To be aware of the side effects of any treatment in progress, and adopt a problem-solving approach to minimise the potentially adverse reactions.
- To document care given and discuss progress, condition and treatment with colleagues and in particular with the Ward/Departmental Sister/Charge Nurse.
- To demonstrate a positive, realistic and supportive attitude to the patient with cancer to ensure that physiological, psycho-social, spiritual and cultural needs of the patient and family are met.
