To be responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the Facilities (Soft Services) Department within TWA to include New Altrincham Hospital in liaison with the Estates & Facilities and Clinical Teams.

To assist the Soft Services Manager and Deputy Manager in the planning of the strategic development of Facilities, in line with Trust values and vision departmental budgets and the Estates & Facilities objectives for all 3 sites within the Trafford Division.

To provide line management to the Domestic Supervisors within Trafford Division, to support the Deputy Soft Services Manager and the Soft Services Manager with the line management of the Catering and Portering Supervisors at Trafford General Hospital site.

Main duties of the job

Altrincham Hospital. Estates and Facilities are a joint department with the Facilities team delivering all Soft FM Services for the Division such as Catering, Domestic, Portering and Linen.

The job entails working within a very busy department where no day is ever the same. If you are an organised, self-motivated, pro-active, problem solving individual then this is the post perfect for you.

You will be responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the Facilities Department for the Withington Community Hospital an Altrincham Hospital in liaison with the wider Estates and Facilities and Clinical Teams

You will be responsible for the first line management of the supervisory teams within each department of Facilities for the main Trafford Site and Altrincham Hospital and any other sites serviced by TWA Facilities Team.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality services in a cost effective manner, implementing best practice solutions to inform and support continuous service improvement.

An opportunity has become available for a Facilities Team Leader at Trafford Hospital and models: monitoring service provision ensuring a prompt effective response to any service failures ensuring a high quality environment is maintained for our patients, staff and visitors.

The post holder will report to the TWA Deputy Facilities Manager and Facilities Manager

The post holder must hold a clean driving licence and have use of a car.

Person Specification

knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Supervisory experience for facilities services in Catering, Portering and Domestics.
  • Detailed knowledge of the operation of a healthcare FM services.


Qualifications

Essential

  • BTEC or ILM Level 3 in Facilities Management
  • Experience with MS Office (including: Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • A good level of written English.
