We are delighted to advertise a vacancy for a Registered Dietitian with experience in paediatric diabetes to join our growing team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families.
We are a friendly, supportive and dynamic team of 35 clinical staff with excellent admin support. We pride ourselves on growth and development, and support members of the team to undertake relevant training. We support Level 6 apprenticeship programmes and also provide clinical dietetics placement for learners from local universities.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with another Dietitian and the supportive and highly motivated paediatric diabetes MDT on the children's ward, outpatient and community settings to deliver a high quality dietetics service to children with diabetes, this will include education for them and their carers.

Job responsibilities
Provide a dietetics service to children and young people across Wolverhampton, this will involve, but not be limited to:
This role includes responding to queries from carers, health visitors, schools and GPs, and community visits for children with other co-morbidities, working closely with members of the MDT.
You will support the training & development of student dietitians on clinical placement, apprentice dietitians and junior members of the team.
You will undertake and contribute to projects and audits to ensure continued quality of care and service development.
Keep up to date by participating in continuous professional development.
Work with colleagues to act upon national service trends and innovations in the field of nutrition and diabetes to prioritise, risk assess and implement service redesign as required.
Support service developments, audits, etc with senior members of the dietetics team and the wider MDT
