Following an internal promotion, a new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic highly motivated Band 6 registered nurse who can demonstrate the highest standards and skills in nursing to join our multidisciplinary team in the Rehabilitation Unit at Herts and Essex Hospital.

Job responsibilities
Overall manage Staff Nurses, Nursing Auxiliaries and support staff on a designated ward within the Rehabilitation Unit. Lead the Nursing Team in the provision of the highest standard of care to patients. Assess, develop and implement programmes of care.
PATIENT / CLIENT CARE Work collaboratively with patients, families, MDT and Social care to ensure patients receive timely and safe discharges Act as an advocate for patients and protect their rights and dignity

- Experienced in working with care of elderly /rehabilitation following acute sector admission
- Willing to teach staff and lead change
- Have excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Competent to undertake clinical skills such as phlebotomy, cannulation and male and female urinary catheterisation
- Hold a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
