This is an exciting time to join us at KMPT. This Senior Practitioner will be leading a new and exciting initiative that will be shaped by you to create a team of clinicians that will support our existing acute and older adult wards and the Place of Safety at Priority House in Maidstone. The purpose of the team is to support safe staffing levels across our wards with flexibility and compassion enabling ward staff to have ease of access to annual leave and regular breaks, through the support of your teams presence. You will be someone that likes variety, enjoys working autonomously as well as giving your team structure and support through supervision and appraisal.
Main duties of the job

The recruitment and development of the team
Line management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered clinicians
Deployment of the team on a daily basis with developed systems and processes in place to facilitate this
Working as a senior clinician covering for senior nurses or the ward manage,r anything from a 30 minute break right through to a 2 week planned AL period.
