We have a great opportunity for a band 7 Community LD Nurse to join the Enfield Integrated Learning Disability Service as the Team Lead for the Mental Health Pathway and Community Intervention Service . The post is full time, but part time hours and job share may be considered.
Applications would be welcome from experienced band 6 and 7 nurses looking to gain Team Lead responsibility
The Team
Enfield Integrated Learning Disability Service is a multidisciplinary service consisting of community nurses, social workers, transition specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, Equals Employment workers, art therapists, psychologist and psychiatrists.
The works in partnership with other agencies across the borough to support people with a learning disability with their physical and mental health needs.
The position will provide the opportunity to develop leadership skills in specialist Learning Disability nursing, mentoring students, pathway working and multi-disciplinary work whilst being part of a supportive team.
We will provide regular clinical supervision and you will be supported to continue your professional development.
Main duties of the job
To provider clinical and managerial leadership to the mental health pathway and the Community Intervention Service. To work as an integral member of the Community Nursing Team for People with Learning Disabilities. To assess the care needs, design, develop and implement and evaluate programmes of care in partnership with clients and carers. To provide clinical advice/support to people providing services to client group. To assist in developing services. To liaise appropriately with other agencies. To maintain a designated complex caseload and support team members to manage their case loads. To participate in teaching staff/students, where appropriate.
This post requires the candidate to take a lead on the coordination of the Mental Health requirements of our clients with a focus on ensuring the principles of 'Building the Right Support' is at the heart of what we do.
The post holder will participate in and support the work of the Positive Behaviour Support Team and ensure plans are updated and regularly reviewed. The post holder will hold a qualification in PBS, CBT or DBT and lead the role out of community groups to support clients and their carers to develop skills in managing their mental health
