We are seeking a new Chief Financial Officer to join our Trust Board as we embark on a significant transformation journey as an organisation and as a system in Greater Manchester. This role will make a significant contribution to our shared vision, led by our Chief Executive, Dr Owen Williams OBE. In this critical role within our strong executive team, you will drive the development of an exceptional experience for both colleagues and patients sharing our commitment to reducing inequalities. You will lead our finance, procurement and estates and facilities teams and bring clarity and oversight to the delivery of our Financial Sustainability Plan. Externally you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial sustainability of the Greater Manchester Integrated Care System quickly establishing credibility with our partners as we seek new, ambitious and innovative ways to collaborate.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an inspirational, inclusive and resilient financial leader with significant experience at board level within a large, complex health provider or system. Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of our services, a passion for reducing inequality and the ability to identify risks and opportunities. As an astute, compassionate and adaptable leader, we will look to you to bring your expertise and energy to guide your teams and our Board as we navigate complex and difficult decisions during challenging times. With strong political acumen and an open style, you will quickly establish trust and confidence with stakeholders internally and externally and excel in building effective and productive partnerships to deliver solutions across organisational boundaries both locally and regionally.
About us
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.
As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we're always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire - to join our team.
In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including, a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
