The Diagnostics directorates (Pathology & Laboratories, & Radiology) is seeking to employ an experienced programme manager this is a varied and challenging role across a number of key national projects. This includes the Diagnostic Networks which are the South 4 Pathology Network & Thames Valley Radiology Network & South region Radiology Imaging Academy the Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) & the newly established Targeted Lung Health Check programme.
The post holder will be required to provide clear leadership and working with senior Directorate management to support the delivery of diagnostic transformation as defined by NHS England. You will have a proactive approach and have the ability to work autonomously across a breadth of stakeholders and within ateam of peers. You will be responsible for identifying problems and resolving and/or escalating where applicable. Significant experience of project management would be essential.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for ensuring that within all specific work areas, all local and national performance standards and objectives are met.
To be responsible for ensuring the establishment, maturation (and further evolution) of the Diagnostic Networks, the TLHC programme and the Oxford CDC. Leading and effectively implementing change management initiatives to deliver defined objectives.
To influence and lead on the strategic development and continuing improvement of clinical services in conjunction with the Clinical Leads, Directorate management, and the Clinical Support Services Division.
You will also have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Alongside this you will have excellent administration skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft applications particularly Excel and Word.
You will work in busy patient centred departments as part of the Diagnostics senior management team with good peer group support and with appropriate training provided as necessary.
Please note that this post is subject to a 6 month probationary period.

To be an active and equal partner in the Networks, developing strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across the associated networks, CDCs, TLHC services and the Integrated Care Boards (ICB).
To lead the transformation, and professionally support the delivery, monitoring and reporting of all work stream projects within the Networks, in partnership with the Clinical Leads, Directorate Manager and Directorate Management.
To facilitate innovation and generate ideas within the network, TLHC and CDCs, taking an active role in cultivating a progressive improvement approach to achieve long-term beneficial outcomes and improved efficiencies.
To professionally support the delivery of the Community Diagnostic Centers (CDC) and TLHC Programme, providing an appropriate level of on-site presence to ensure project and service oversight.
To demonstrate a flexible approach to the development and delivery of new programmes where necessary, within the scope of NHSEI diagnostic imaging initiatives.
To develop and maintain robust channels of communication across the services, ensuring effective dissemination of information and active staff engagement.
To take a lead role in the delivery of national standards as applicable to the area of responsibility.
