Main duties of the job
We have an opportunity for a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - School Nurse who will contribute towards life changing differences for local children, working closely with relatives carers and the wider educational system.
If you are committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families and have strong Leadership Qualities we would like to hear from you.
For this post you will need to be proactive and enthusiastic.
You will be key to assessing health needs of children and young people and families.
You must be dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of children and families in Derby City and have a real commitment to implementing service user feedback to improve services and evidence the difference you are making.
Your role will include safeguarding responsibility and you will work in partnership with colleagues from both statutory and voluntary agencies to actively promote and develop a more integrated 0-19 Public Health System.
You will be based within a multi-disciplinary team in Derby City.
As a Public Health Nurse you will demonstrate good leadership skills, be committed to developing your own practice and that of others.
You must be receptive and responsive to change and be willing to adopt and evaluate different ways of working and leading the development of more integrated systems, processes and practice.
