Position: Project Manager - Breast Network
Band: Indicative Band 7 (subject to job evaluation)
Contract Type: Full-time Secondment until end-March 2025
Location: Hybrid - 60% home-based, 40% onsite at any Black Country acute Trust
Department: CEO Office - Black Country Provider Collaborative
Closing date: 6pm on Monday, 12th August 2024.
Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing 26th August 2024.
Main duties of the job
Role Overview
The Project Manager will oversee three key transformation projects within the Breast Network:
1. Development of a breast reconstruction service providing free-flap surgery.
2. Establishment of a breast radiology alliance.
3. Review of the four Black Country breast units.
The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical service transformation and project management, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and the development of outline business cases.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the project management and delivery of three transformation projects within the Breast Network.
Provide high-quality project management, including planning, administration, risk management, and reporting.
Develop and implement detailed project plans with defined deliverables and milestones.
Conduct comprehensive options appraisals and develop outline business cases for each project by March 2025.
Foster excellent collaborative relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the Provider Collaborative's strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent career path experience (Essential).
PRINCE2 Foundation / Managing Successful Programmes Foundation or equivalent project management qualification (Desirable).
Significant experience in project management, particularly within a healthcare environment (Essential).
Extensive knowledge of breast services and breast care pathways (Desirable).

- Provide high-quality project management, including planning, administration, risk management, and reporting.
- Ensure timely, effective project reporting and proactive management of risks and issues with appropriate mitigation actions.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans with defined deliverables and milestones.
- Finalise development option details and conduct comprehensive options appraisals, including the completion of EQIAs for each project.
- Develop outline business cases for each project by March 2025.
