We are looking for a new Reflective Practice Lead to join the Staff Support team at South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. This post offers the opportunity to develop, co-ordinate and ensure the systematic provision of reflective practice to all staff using the Trust's RSR (Reflect, Support, Resolve) Model. The post holder will lead on the reflective practice workstream, with some input into our other Staff Support projects (including Schwartz Rounds, Critical Incident Staff Support and Team Support Plans). We are seeking a candidate who can effectively engage stakeholders and lead projects at an organisation-wide level.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills and demonstrable ability to run multiple projects simultaneously and at scale, delivering both on target and on time. They must be skilled in designing and delivering training, providing consultation and reflective practice. The candidatemust be hard working and able to take initiative whilst holding strong 'team-player' values. Experience working in staff support, awareness of the impact of trauma on healthcare staff, narrative or systemic therapy training and project management experience are highly desirable. The post holder will also have management experience and leadership skills.

Corporate Psychology and Psychotherapy (Corp P& P) oversees the standards of psychology and psychotherapy inSLaM. It has strong links to other disciplines and services. The governance of the provision, assessment and delivery of psychological interventions within the trust for both patients and staff are held under Corporate Psychology and Psychotherapy. As a department we are made up of skilled staff members from Psychology and Nursing backgrounds with lots of different expertise.
Within Corp P& P we have a programme of projects which are working to address both local and national priorities through workforce, quality improvement and service development projects. Using a project management approach the work loosely falls under three workstreams, Staff Support, Psychological Workforce and Enabling Service Improvement. Examples of recent projects include developing psychologically based approaches in acute and crisis care, developing and implementing staff support initiatives, including the Trusts Critical Incident Staff Support (CISS) service, work in Global Mental Health and developing workforce initiatives for aspiring and qualified psychologists and psychotherapists (e.g training events diversifying the workforce).

- To develop, co-ordinate and ensure the systematic provision of Reflective Practice (RSR-Reflect, Support, Resolve) to all staff from within Corporate Psychology and Psychotherapy, and personally provide highly specialist clinical input.
- To lead on the Reflective Practice workstream and input into a range of projects (including Schwartz Rounds, Critical Incident Staff Support Service, Team Wellbeing Support Plans) from within corporate psychology and psychotherapy, and available to staff of all disciplines across the organization.
- To co-create and initiate further developments in line with the evolving multidisciplinary staff support strategy within the organization.
- To proactively seek out opportunities to increase awareness around the Staff Support offer and recruit new members to the Staff Support Community of Practice.
- To ensure that access to staff support reaches most marginalised and at risk groups and to enable staff from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe work environment.
- To receive training, clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate, functioning as lead specialist for reflective practice.

- oEntry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (Professional Doctorate or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration (A/I) oRegistered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). (A/I) OR oEntry-level qualification in Psychotherapy Masters degree (plus supervised practice) that has been accepted by the (BACP/UKCP) for purposes of professional registration. (A/I) oRegistered with the (BACP/UKCP) as Psychotherapist. (A/I) OR oEntry-level qualification in Creative Arts Therapy (Masters degree in the modality of Art Therapy, Music Therapy or Drama Therapy).
