Welcome to the Day Surgery Unit at Southlands Hospital part of University Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Are you a Theatre Nurse/ODP?
Would you like to join our friendly, dynamic 14 bedded Day Surgery Unit complete with 2 Operating Theatres and a 5 bedded Recovery area? Do you have experience in the Theatre environment? Do you have experience within Orthopaedic Surgery?
We currently look after patients in Day Surgery undergoing surgery for a variety of Specialities including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Chronic Pain, Maxillo-Facial and Dental Surgery.
Main duties of the job
Team Working and Communication to support the daily running of the Day Surgery Unit.
Scrubbing for various surgical procedures in theatre setting.
Delivering safe pre-operative, peri-operative and post-operative care of patients.
