An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic nurse or midwife to join our team to provide leadership and expertise on Clinical Effectiveness across Saint Mary's Hospital Managed Clinical Service, with a focus on Patient Experience.
This is an exciting time as we are moving forward with embedding Safety II, rethinking and reframing our approach to patient safety across MFT.
The post holder will work closely with the Assistant Director of Quality and Safety and the Medical Governance Lead to ensure that our priority is to ensure safe and effective care for our patients and their families.
The role provides an opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience working across our divisions as our diverse services expand. You will need to have experience of clinical governance and assurance and proven leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
Provide leadership and expert advice on Clinical Effectiveness and support the co-ordination of all aspects of Clinical Effectiveness across the MCS, ensuring integration of corporate Clinical Effectiveness agenda with that of the Quality and Safety Committee .
Monitor within the MCS, delivery on the key components of Clinical Effectiveness and report any variance from the plan, and recommend corrective action via liaison with the Assistant Director of Quality and Safety, the Medical Lead for Governance who will, in turn, advise the Medical Director and Director of Nursing and Midwifery.
Support the coordination the delivery and implementation of the Quality and Safety & Risk Management strategies, policies and work programmes, for the MCS
Support the delivery of the Infection Control and Harm Free Care agenda across the division
Distribute NICE guidance to divisions and collate responses, submit evidence and associated actions as required to support partial compliance
Working with the multidisciplinary team, identify and ensure appropriate responses to recommendations from national and regional bodies are reported to the MCS and ensure that appropriate plans are made to address these.
Support the MCS Health & Safety Committee and ensure that annual H& S audits are carried out across the MCS, collate the data for Group submission, monitor action plans, and liaise with to the Group Health and Safety Team as required
