The Children's Intensive Support Team (IST) for Coventry and Warwickshire is expanding, and we have a new opportunity for a community nurse specialist to join the team. This is an exciting time at the Trust, as we expand our offer to become the lead provider locally for integrated children's services.

The IST is a specialist multi-disciplinary team, consisting of occupational therapists, psychologists, speech and language therapists and nurses. The team started as a pilot project over six years ago and aims to reduce the number of children with autism and/ or a learning disability in hospital with mental health needs.

As our community nurse specialist, you will lead the nursing team and play a key role in formulating and directing interventions. You will be responsible for providing assessment and behavioural/ therapeutic treatment programmes and undertake supervision. You will liaise with and work collaboratively with other agencies according to the needs of the young person.

The role can be offered on a full or part-time basis. Whilst based at Wayside House in Coventry, the role is flexible with some hybrid working and travel required across Coventry and Warwickshire. We would welcome a conversation or service visit if you would like to know more!
