We are seeking an enthusiastic Practitioner Psychologist to work in our Cardiac Rehabilitation Service for people living with cardiac issues. The successful candidate will work as part of a Multi Disciplinary Team providing to this population of people under the supervision of an experienced Practitioner Psychologist. The Psychology provision into the team is highly valued and respected.
Their role will be to provide an assessment, formulation and psychological intervention service to this group of people alongside the MDT.
This opportunity is open to trainee psychologists coming up to HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist and other psychologists seeking a Band 7or 8a positions- the successful candidate will be appointed at the level dependent on their experience.
This opportunity is also available on a preceptorship arrangement from B7-B8a and as such, development opportunities are supported for the successful psychologist to progress on the 7/8a preceptorship pathway.
The post is part time, as such the Head of Psychology would be open to dialogue with potential candidates who would appreciate hours in another specialty in addition to these.
Main duties of the job
The psychologist will be expected to provide direct and indirect psychological work both on a face to face and remote basis and in groups and individually.
They will offer the MDT a psychological perspective and provide consultation, psychological training to increase the psychological mindedness of the service.
The successful candidate will also be expected to collate data on their activity and PROMS and PREMS and conduct service evaluation projects on the provision.

- Doctoral Training in DCOP/DClin Psy or Masters in Health/Forensic Psych
- Psychology related Degree 2:1 + (with GBR)
