Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic Nurse who is passionate about improving care for women?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lead Nurse Specialist for Gynaecology Oncology at Colchester hospital.
Alongside ourlead consultant, you would be responsible for the care of ladies being investigated for/ diagnosed with a Gynaecology cancer.
These are exciting times within this service and there is lots of scope for developing the service and reviewing clinics provided to improve the care women receive.
This is part time-30 hours per week, fixed term/secondment contract post until 30th November 2025.

You will provide comprehensive nursing support to Gynaecological cancer patients in line with the broad aims of the NHS Cancer Plan this will involve:

- The development of an effective, streamline and efficient service for patients in the Mid Anglia area in collaboration with other members of the network multi-professional team in line with the national Improving Outcomes Guidance.
- Ensuring the provision of high quality evidence based care. This will include the support of relatives and carers and education of the multi-professional team in the principles of managing patients with cancer.
- Provide excellent specialist clinical care and advice for patients, relatives, carers and health care professionals.
- Improve and maintain standards of care within the specialty in line with the cancer plan and NICE guidance
