- An excellent opportunity has arisen at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to join our Hand Unit as a Hands Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and other Trust staff to deliver outstanding care, every time to our patients.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a high standard of clinical care in the ongoing management of adult patients with hand injuries.
- To contribute to the development of the hand service at St Georges', including recruitment and project implementation.
- To manage own caseload of patients working closely with administration, nursing staff, the hand therapists, hand consultants and other members of their teams to ensure appropriate patient management.
- Provide expert clinical opinion of hand injuries to junior staff.
- To practice excellent clinical skills extended beyond the scope of nursing, provide hand assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge of appropriate patients.
- To contribute and implement to the development of hand trauma care pathways for patients in the Trust, referring units and community services.
- To deputise for the ANP in the management of the hand unit and ensure that professional and clinical nursing standards are maintained.
- To contribute to the education and training of healthcare professionals, in the management of hand conditions.
- To provide support and advice to clinical staff within and outside the organisation.
