A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced professional to join the leadership team of the Newborn Screening Programme at Peterborough City Hospital.
We are seeking an individual with strong management skills to oversee a small, dedicated, and experienced team of hearing screeners who play a crucial role in supporting our perinatal services.

Main duties of the job
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Newborn Hearing Screeners, ensuring the smooth operation and organisation of daily work planning for the screening team. Your role will encompass the collation and reporting of all standards pertaining to the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme. You will act as the professional lead for the day-to-day management, evaluation, and quality assurance of the programme, including the provision of antenatal information, screening procedures, and any necessary onward referrals.
This role requires maintaining a 50% clinical and 50% managerial shift pattern, with flexibility and support for the needs of the service at all times.

- Recognised teaching/mentoring qualification with evidence of teaching experience.
- NNEB/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or relevant experience
- Understanding of the importance of early intervention in childcare and newborn hearing screening
- Knowledge of the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme
