Band 5
We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse with a special interest in Continence to join our Community Continence team.
You need to have a can - do attitude and have experience of working with and assessing patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction.
This post offers the chance to develop skills and knowledge within Bladder and Bowel care whilst being supported by team members.
The work is varied and you will be working independently within patient's homes and clinic settings, providing assessments and treatments to adults with bladder and bowel symptoms. There will be a lot of support to achieve the necessary skills and knowledge before you work and assess independently.
Main duties of the job
This is an opportunity for someone with an enthusiasm for continence and a wish to extend their expertise in this field and be part of a team dedicated to providing excellent care across our community.
The candidate will be an autonomous skilled practitioner who will be implementing treatment based on expert clinical practice for people with continence issues and assist other health care professionals providing care in a range of settings. You will need to be confident in delivering education to patients, families, care staff & other professionals and ideally have experience of Continence and /or urology nursing.
You will assist in the provision of a high quality and efficient service to all users. You need to be sensitive to patients' needs and adaptable in working in a busy environment.
About us
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.
At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS' workforce.
LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.
We are an ambassador of a learning culture that will support the right individual to progress in their chosen career through an 'earn while you learn' apprenticeship programme.
