We offer all new recruits preceptorship as per AHP/HCPC's guidance. The process can be taken over 6-12months depending on point of entry and previous experiences. Our preceptorship model includes 1:1 discussion meetings with preceptor, assigned education sessions, reflective practice, clinical activities and patient case studies, all combined to meet development objectives and support the transition from newly qualified into a fully confident and competent practitioner.

We have four TrueBeam 3.0 linear accelerators which include advanced IGRT imaging such as online 4DCBCT, iCBCT and triggered imaging. 6DOF couches in use for H+N, upper GI and Lung SABR patients, alongside abdomen compression immobilisation. We have a wide-bore Siemens GOSIM CT scanner, alongside Brachytherapy, Orthovoltage and on-treatment review services. All systems are linked together using ARIA V15.6 in a completely paperless department.

We have trained 3 Consultant Radiographers in Breast/Urology/Palliative and are are actively developing new ACP opportunities. We have a number of apprentice radiographer undergraduate and postgraduate roles in post and have recently invested in enhanced practice roles supporting progression from graduate all the way to consultant radiographer or lead radiographer.
