We are seeking an experienced midwife to lead our growing Healthy lifestyles team.
If you are passionate about public health and improving birthing people and families health then we would love to hear from you.
The successful applicant will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support families who have complex maternal or fetal needs.
Main duties of the job
Lead the stop smoking service
Lead and develop the contraception services that are offered to women and birthing people
Provide training to staff members on key public health drivers with a particular focus on maternity.
Help and support women and birthing people to make healthier choices in pregnancy and beyond.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.

- Registered midwife with relevant experience
- Experience and understanding of fetal medicine
Desirable
- counselling or genetics course
Knowledge/Experience
Essential
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to initiate, evaluate and sustain change
- Experience in detection and prevention of fetal abnormality
- Working knowledge of the Antenatal and Newborn Screening Programmes
Desirable
- Counselling experience in AN screening
- Trained in assisting with Chorionic Villi Sampling & Amniocentesis
