We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated Dietitian with excellent communication skills and knowledge to join our well-established multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will join the Cancer services team to provide and develop a high quality dietetic service to Oncology and Haematology patients. The post holder will cover a range of in and out-patient services and work closely with the wider MDT within each speciality. The post-holder will also be expected to participate in MDT training and development related to this specialist area, and to participate in departmental audits.
The wider dietetic department consists of over 60 dietitians, who provide clinical inpatient and outpatient services to a variety of specialties including oncology, renal, neurology, haematology,paediatrics, cardiology, major trauma, intensive care, gastro, surgical, diabetes, infectious diseases and HIV.
The department is committed to training dietetic placement students and actively participates in the training programs of clinical and non-clinical staff. There are numerous opportunities for professional and personal development.
Main duties of the job
Oncology
Meets in and out-pt needs for Lung, Lymphoma and Haematology pt groups across oncology/haematology wards.
Attends MDT weekly and works as part of MDT for each speciality.
Line manages team Band 4 post.
Head and Neck
Supports in and out Head and Neck pts across number of clinics
Attends MDT weekly and works as part of MDT for each speciality.
Line manages team Band 4 post.
