A full-time vacancy has arisen within the perioperative Medicine directorate for an enthusiastic and innovative practitioner who wishes to provide dynamic support as Manager in the surgical admissions unit.
The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership and management, across both day units at The James Cook University Hospital (JCUH) & Satellite units Redcar Primary Care and One life, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, clinical expertise, to manage the departments safely & effectively. They will also ensure a tight roster in line with relevant KPIs'' ensuring the effective utilisation of day surgery cases within the units, through engagement with operational lead for theatres admin teams.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will Develop and organise study days and training sessions and act as a visible clinical leader, working as a role model with individuals across teams to ensure that practice is evidence based, standards are met to evidence improved patient outcomes and family / carer satisfaction levels.
Provide clinical supervision responsibilities to staff, as appropriate, supporting, and inspiring colleagues to improve standards, quality of care and improve professional practice. Lead as a change agent, and innovator planning, instigating, and evaluating change as part of a cycle of continuous improvement, which includes Networking locally, regionally, and nationally to share best practice.
